Adding a Note

Select the " + " button.

Select the note type. Note types can be added or deleted via iChart Sync.

The top menu bar allows the user to preview the note, Lock the note or go back to the note list.

Note: Note data is saved automatically when the user exits a specific note section, thus there is no Save button required. Sign/Lock button will allow the user to view the note only with no future edits. Only Locked notes are uploaded to the iChart Sync website. Once uploaded, notes can be edited further via the online editor provided.

Select a section to modify.

Each section may have its own title bar button setup specific to the type of data being edited.

Sections that use Clinical Templates or menu trees will have a center button which indicates the template selected. The default template will be designated by "symptom". The default template is generic comprehensive. To select a more specific template choose the search icon button.

Once the search icon button is selected the list of loaded templates will be displayed.

Select from the list the best template. Templates can be added or deleted via iChart Sync.

To activate a template, select the center template button.

Once and item is selected from the menu, if applicable another list will be displayed (max. 3 menus deep).

The second menu is a "sticky menu" meaning it will allow the user to make several selections. To exclude the second menu select the top back arrow. Once the back arrow is selected the narrative related to the menu choices will be displayed. Re-selecting a menu will deselect it.

The narrative is inserted into the text area. This may be further modified via menu selection or keyboard.

Tapping the text area will excuse the first menu and pop-up the keypad. Tapping the center template button will excuse the menu but not popup the keypad. This allows for full screen viewing and review.

Select the Problem " + " button to add a problem while constructing note.

Note the images item at the bottom. Tap on the included body map image or one of the additional blank buttons to add a new image or photo. (see below)

The problem dialog will be displayed. Note this is the same form as seen in the Prob/Dx code section

Note: a Dx code is not required to add a new problem to the patients problem list.

Insert or modify images. Select an image button to bring up the image editor.

The hand icon allows the user to pan and zoom using the drag and pinch gestures. Select the pen button to allows drawing input. To erase shake the device. Each shake will remove the most recent line segments drawn, and the final shake will prompt to delete the image itself, note deletions cannot be reversed. To include a photo select the camera option, then select from the Library or Camera. Photos can be annotated as well. Select save to save the changes made. Images are uploaded with notes and are displayed for printing via iChart Sync.
